Technical Business Analyst (Enterprise-level)

We are looking for talented, detail-oriented, and committed people to join the Bryj team and meet the challenges of our ever-growing business. As a Technical Business Analyst at Bryj, you will be at the forefront of customer relationships, working alongside Project Managers and internal mobile application teams to steer projects to success. Your pivotal role involves identifying and prioritizing intelligent solutions that significantly enhance our customers' business operations. Through a blend of technical expertise and customer-centric approaches, you'll ensure a rewarding experience for our customers, while driving the translation of business needs into functional requirements.

Primary Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer engagements to capture business requirements; translate needs into technical requirements for mobile app development and value realization.
  • Develop and manage functional requirements, use cases, and detailed design specifications.
  • Collaborate intensively with Project Managers, Scrum Masters, UX designers, Developers, and QA engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and sustainable mobile apps that align with functional requirements and address business challenges identified by customers.
  • Assist Development and Quality Assurance teams by analyzing and clarifying requirements on a day-to-day basis.
  • Write user stories and other requirements documentation; maintain, update, and support already composed requirements.
  • Ensure compatibility of requirements with SCRUM best practices and the current workflow.
  • Dedicate time and care to deliver professionally written customer communication, as well as verbal communication via conference calls.
  • Perform acceptance testing for delivered user stories, exploratory/ad hoc testing whenever applicable, and develop/document test cases for composed requirements.
  • Work with a spirit of collaboration and respect with internal and external teams to ensure a positive work environment is fostered.
  • Deliver high CSAT (customer satisfaction) and NPS (net promotion score) results.     
  • Assist with retention, expansion, and renewal efforts. At Bryj, we aim to deliver customer excellence, and therefore retaining, expanding, and renewing our customers is of utmost importance. 

Skills & Experience

  • At least 5 years experience in a Business Analyst role within technology-related businesses.
  • Proven experience in managing relationships with large, global company customers.
  • Familiarity or expertise with mobile application development, website creation, and app stores.
  • Experience working within an agile framework and scrum methodology, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a sprint format.
  • Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) are preferred.

In addition, efficiency, integrity, organization, proactivity, enthusiasm and adaptability are the soft skills that will help you succeed in this position.

Minimum Skill and Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in English. Native French  speakers may have an additional advantage.
  • Experience working with Jira, Confluence, and Monday.com, or similar.

Role Location

  • This is a hybrid position based in Lisbon, Portugal that is required to be in our Lisbon office at least 4 days per week.
  • You are expected to support customers from both NA and EMEA regions, and as such, you are expected to work as closely as possible with the applicable time zones.
